Despite being a big flop, and many people thinking the album is bad, i actually find it to be a pretty amazing album. Its definitely not commercial, so maybe this is why people think it's bad.
But i believe it gets better with time. The songs just keep getting better after each listen.
It's Nicole's most personal album, the lyrics are deep, and the production is quite interesting. Plus, this is Nicole's sound. It's unlike anything on the radio, or anything than can be released by another pop girl.

My favorite songs on the album are

-Electric Blue: A vibe-y song that sounds a bit like old school Janet meets Prince
-God Of War: Probably my favorite song on the album. It's so hunting and great.

-Your Love: The perfect summer songs. It makes you feel good. It's also the most pop-y song on the album


-Heartbreaker: Probably the darkest song on the album. I just love the production and the eerie feeling.


-Just A Girl: This is the song that i truly HATED at first listen, but after giving it a chance, i've come to appreciate it's brilliance. It's honestly one of the album's standouts.



-First Time: Hot beat, great production and an amazing pre-chorus.


-Bang: A sultry sex anthem and the sexiest song on the album. It's so groovy and sexy. It's kind of giving me Ciara teas. And so does the video



-Run: The most emotional, lyrically and vocally EXCELLENT song Nicole has ever recorded.



-Big Fat Lie: Nicole's most personal song, and a lyrical masterpiece. The chorus is the only bad thing about this song.



The rest of the album is still great and still sounds a lot better if you give it a few more listens. Girl With a Diamond Heart and On The Rocks are the most weak songs on the album, imo, but i still think they are good songs.

And knowing Nicole's background and what she's been through, this album is even better.

Overall, this album is very groovy, with a unique production and great lyrics.

Girl With a Diamond Heart is THE song of the album and would be much better first single than Your Love or other flops

I don't care if they flopped hard, Your Love and On the Rocks are bops!

The album is solid despite having a handful of fillers. I prefer it as a whole to Killer Love. The trinity is Your Love, Heartbreaker, and On the Rocks

I think it's an uninspired album. "Run" is amazing but the rest, not so much.

God of War is my favorite on the album. There's just something to that song that is addictive. It also doesn't sound like any other song.
The Big Fat Lie sound is definitely not commercial, but the music is really good and it's all Nicole

I didn't really like On The Rocks at first, but now i love it. It's actually a great song.

If by uninspired, you mean she's not trying to sound like anyone else out there at the moment, then yes. This album is all Nicole.
It's not commercial, the songs don't have big catchy choruses. Nicole just did music that spoke to her, and she felted inspired by. This is her most personal record, she's opening up about issues that she's never spoken about before.
I find the album completely inspiring and uplifting.

When Nicole talks about this album, she's literally talking as if it's her baby. This is how much she's put into this.

One might not enjoy this album as they don't know Nicole's story. They don't know what she's been through. They don't know the struggles she has to deal with, and especially with the music industry.
This is why I love this album so much. Because, as a fan for so many years, I GET HER.
