The list is full of problems, I am all for having a list but it needs to be accurate and well maintained. There are many people that are on that list that don't belong on it, if they can fix it, so mistakes are rare, and don't take forever to fix, I would be for denying access to guns.

You all do realize that this is the same list that every year ends up in the news because some 5 year old with the same name as a terrorist gets forbidden from boarding a plane.

^I understand the list needs reform, and I supported a provision to the bill that would make the no-fly list more accurate/editable when mistakes were made. Maybe just a slightly longer approval process for those on the no-fly list? It's not clear imo

I wonder how long its going to be before the SCOTUS takes up the issue on terror watch lists. The government cant limit someones ability to travel. Its against the law just like barring them from buying guns would be.

The president should issue an executive order to block those on terror watch lists from buying a gun. Then let Republicans sue and the SCOTUS take us the issue during an election year.

They sure can limit how someone travels though. Driving is not a right it's a privilege, so is flying.

Actually it falls under the term liberty. The government can't take it away without due process.

That is kind of my point about the list being broken, it should be for criminals not random people swept up and stuck on the list. If a known terrorist is identified you put that person on the list, if he shows up at the airport you detain him. The list is totally broken as it is now.

When even politicans have ended up on the list, severe reforms need to happen and add in some due process.
