I have it on and I didn't have to close the game for it to archive, actually one of my singles entered the charts at #80 after 20 weeks, peaked at #45 with 8K sales and it could have climbed up the chart but because of that stupid archival setting it didn't
However, it does more harm than good. You lose some money during recording process because your artist decided to spend the money needed for recording.

I only know coz TGT was charting for so many weeks and selling like 9k after 40 weeks or something. However this probably would have been the album's first week lower than 15k, so its possible it is working. Oh well. Annoying coz I hate the album being done before my era, and we can't re-release yet smh.
