OT: yes well deserved! Woman of the Year doesn't just encompass what music was released and its sales...Gaga is well-rounded....thereby embodying a successful woman in the entertainment industry.
i love how you girls treat this meaningless PR "award" like it's an album of the year grammy. in the same breath as gaga's woman of the year, they also awarded demi with the "rule breaker of year" () and selena with the "chart topper of the year" award. it means nothing and none of the other girls were doing anything this year, apart from taylor who had just won the year before, which would've been boring. chill, please.
She didn't need to do anything this year to be named woman of the year. She has been the most influential person in the entertainment industry since her debut in 2008. She should be the woman of every year.
This year has been a great reminder of how much she's actually capable of, and it certainly had people talking. Not everyone is or will ever be able to do that, let alone so profoundly. (We'll see how much this pays off with her next era, but I'd say the (newfound) respect is definitely there.)
So yes, I think she's one of the few pop girls who deserves it.

It's pretty clear that Gaga's WOTY is far above Demi and Selena's awards. It's not a Grammy, but it's still a very big honor that people respect every year.
