I don't know if I'd say that, really. The Bounce model for the Big Bang is just one of many competing theories, and it's conventionally expected to be of a more cyclic nature; that is, there was or will be more than one collapse and rebound.
As far as a beginning and end, we just don't know. We really have no clue if there was a definite "beginning," though many argue that time itself didn't exist before the universe so calling it a "beginning" might not be appropriate, and we don't know whether there will be a definite end.
I'd also argue with the "for a reason" bit, but that gets more into subjective personal spirituality and whatnot.
