Discussion: Why did Sony FLOPPED at TGA and Nintendo SLAYED?

The Game Awards 2015 (The Oscars of gaming) were held this week. Bloodborne was one the most nominated games of the evening. It FAILED to win anything, though.

Meanwhile, Nintendo`s Splatoon won TWO

awards: Best Multiplayer and Best Shooter. Why a Nintendo exclusive game triumphed over a super over hyped Sony exclusive game like Bloodborne?

Was it because TALENT ALWAYS WINS?

The Game Awards are subjetive and don't represent the actual quality of games. They serve as a barometer to what games are in each year, but nothing more. The best award a game developer can get is seeing their games be sucessful and fans liking their work, not being featured in a 2 hour annual ceremony. Some of the best games of this year, like Bloodborne and Undertale, weren't awarded by this judge yet that doesn't mean that talent either won or lost. Talent loses when good games like Bayonetta 2 flop miserabily or games like Silent Hills get cancelled for financial reasons, not when an award ceremony driven by promotional and media buzz factors decide to ignore certain games.
