Nah. You're probably thinking of when an album on preorder is finally released, it didn't shoot to the top anymore, as only the new sales were counted. Not the ones that gained over the weeks/months.

This is just a new revision on that, completely removing them from top sales chart.

It was fun to see people stan warring each other about pre-order positions tho.
