Now before y'all drag me (I'm not really paying attention to the situation as I find the news very depressing) but surely they aren't just going to drop bombs on random places? Like surely they have certain targets?

Either way, it's good celebrities are speaking up political issues etc.

These are targeted air strikes with innocent civilians inevitably being the collateral damage. Doubt the media will report the deaths of the innocent civilians though, just the death of the terrorists.

If someone decided to drop bombs on us, we would have a place to go - bomb shelters etc. These innocent civilians in Syria don't have that privilege. All they can do is hope and pray that a bomb doesn't drop on their heads. Imagine being the father or mother of a child and you have to fear that a bomb is going to drop and kill you all? Can you just take a moment to think how frightening that must be? It's inhumane.

If you think we are going to take out ISIS, you have another thing coming. All this is doing is adding ammunition to those already considering joining ISIS. I can guarantee that ISIS membership will be at an all time high by the end of these air strikes. ISIS is not a place, it's a group of people dispersed throughout the world, and dispersed throughout Syria. All these air strikes are doing is basically targeting ISIS resources and ISIS main 'camps' so to say.

The people in Syria are in a civil war with two groups fighting. No matter what they are in a dangerous area which is why those civilians need to be saved and given refugee status.

Also something has to be done to bring stability to the area which is why there's attacks coordinated by neighboring countries and far countries. So far we can't use peace and just sit around having more innocent Syrians killed, sitting around is what got us here in the first place. As far as I'm concerned even local people are trying their best to bring stability. It's a hard situation but what can be done?

There probably has been wars where there were no innocent casualties, yes. Could I tell you one from the top of my head, no.

How can we be at war if we don't know our enemy? This isn't a war, it's a free for all.

You think air strikes are going to bring stability to an already instable area?

Of course it won't. But are we going to stand back as more innocent people are killed? Or are we going to support allied local troops in a global coordinated effort to bring an end to ISIS and maybe Assad? If 300 ISIS members are being killed by airstrikes and attack on their oil fields from which they make income from is hurting and thinning out their assets it's a means to an end.

This is just the catalyst for many future events. I'd say it's a means to a beginning.

Well yeah if they don't help them after the war then they'll just get another Assad. What they need is rebuilding of a country and hopefully a strong proper government. The countries of Lebanon and Jordan are great examples of such.
