NBC’s “The Wiz Live!” delivered strong ratings in the major markets and with adults 18-49.
Preliminary Nielsen ratings have the three-hour live telecast averaging a 4.4 rating in adults 18-49. Excluding the Olympics that marks NBC’s highest number in the timeslot since the “ER” finale in 2009, it’s the highest non-sports rating for any network on the night in three years.
Well, the prelims are actually at 3.3. Which is still very great.
Peter Pan got a 2.3.
And the reviews are actually quite good. Peter Pan/Sound of Music were in the low to mid 50s Metascore, while this got a 75. I think I'll try to watch it.
With some White Power, Latino Power and Asian Power made those ratings too 
neyo's song when they met the wiz even made me tear up a little
