I've travelled a lot and the cities I've been to are very distinct from each other.
New York, Newark, Philadelphia
St. Louis, Richmond, Nashville, Memphis
Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Oakland, San Francisco
Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City
You can easily tell these apart from one another IMO.
I live in Miami and I've been to most major cities in the US (NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, etc.) and you can't base this off pictures you find on the internet. When you're walking/driving through a city you notice the differences, and even with Google pictures you see different architectures. I could easily tell you what city I'm looking at just by looking at the streets (if it's a major city).
So your question is ACTUALLY "Do generic suburbs all look the same?" Because the answer is yes. But not everywhere in North America is a generic suburb. This thread is dumb.
