'American Idol': Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood to perform on American Music Awards
The American Music Awards has a serious case of "American Idol" fever.
Adam Lambert was the first Idolette to be announced as a performer for the awards fest, which will air Nov. 22 on ABC. (Lambert, far right, helped announced the nominations with Snoop Dogg and Paula Abdul this week.)
Lambert will have a lot of "Idol" company. "Idol" victors Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood will sing. Daughtry, featuring "Idol" alum Chris Daughtry, will perform, too.
Other performers announced so far are Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, the Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Lopez.
Taylor Swift has the most nominations (6), followed by the late Michael Jackson (5).
ABC also will play up the "Idol" connection on the CMA Awards, set for Nov. 11. Underwood will co-host with Brad Paisley and sing. Daughtry will perform with Vince Gill.
Other performers at that bash will include Paisley, Swift, Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney and Brooks & Dunn.
