So I was in history class yesterday and this discussion came up about that gay couple who ordered a wedding cake from a bakery who refused their service. Basically everyone in my class agreed that denying people service is ok since you shouldn't want to give ignorant/awful people your money anyway.
For example: One chick said that it should be legal to deny Muslims service (she is Muslim) and her argument was that they have the right to sell to whoever they want and you have the right to choose a different business to give your money to.
This shocked me. I wanted to say something but everyone in the room seemed to have the opposite opinion of me so I'm asking here on atrl, should businesses (corporate or private) be allowed to deny people service? Does it actually harm anyone other than the business itself by discrimating against its demographic?
