Self-identifying as quirky is one of the most tragic things of our age
Identifying as basic/normal or edgy is worse though. Truly edgy people shouldn't need to explain their edginess, while the strive to be seen as "normal" is boring and something I'll never understand. At least saying you're quirky has truth to it because we all have our idiosyncrasies.
