Hey London atrlers! So I'm headed to London for a weeklong trip next week and I was wondering if you could give me an idea of some cool stuff to do. I'm in my early twenties and enjoy parks, cool neighborhoods, and fun bars/pubs/clubs. Not really looking to do much tourist-y stuff. Thanks!
i really dont know why london is a tourist attraction, just to see the Royal palace and a clock? I mean of all the major cities in the world, London has to be one of the least desirable on my radar.
Parks - Hyde Park, St James Park, Holland Park
Cool Neighborhood - Soho, South Kensington, Greenwich, Clerkenwell
Fun Bars/Pubs/Clubs - Don't have any experience (too young )
Honorable Mentions: Bluewater, Chinatown, Sky Garden (best to book really early), Oxford street

Same with me, and then I went it was just as I expected, overrated. Not to mention, people weren't very nice and the weather was miserable.

Have you been to London?
It's a huge historical metropolis of 13 million people… not just a "royal palace and a clock".

Ok thanks for your useless opinion which didn't contribute to the discussion whatsoever, the city and the 17.4 million overseas visitors to London in 2014 will remain unbothered.
Anyway a great place to visit at the moment would be hyde park as the annual winter wonderland christmas fare is going on it has ice rinks, ice sculptures, christmas markets, rides etc. and it's massive. Covent Garden is also a great place to go for food as well as entertainment in general the atmosphere is really great around that area, it's also close to theatre if you're interested in that kind of stuff. If you want to shop you can visit oxford street or one of the two Westfield's the one in West London is better than the east London imo.
Shoreditch/Brick Lane and Camden are hip areas. Check out the markets there. For parks, go to Hyde Park and Victoria Park, they also have lots of Christmas stuff going on this year. Check out Oxford Street/Regent Street for the amazing Christmas lights, and/or one of the Westfield shopping centres. Go see a musical/play in Soho. There's also always lots of concerts on, maybe you can find one you like.
