Some people like the atmosphere of stadiums done like Arenas .
I went to both the Mrs Carter show (Arena) and the on the run tour (stadium) and while the on the run tour was beautiful and you can just feel the energy the Mrs Carter show was just better because Arenas are better for big productions one of the reasons why some artist rather perform in Arenas than stadiums.

I prefer clubs and other smaller venues. It often times feels more personable

Arenas. Acoustics and theatrics are much better.

People on this forum drag Katy for not being able to play stadiums just because her tours are full with arena dates, but she has stated clearly that she considers arena concerts a more intimate experience for her fans and I love her so much for that.

Arenas are an ideal setup. Stadiums have terrible sound and the artists compensate the size with a bigger/longer stage.

My friend who went to MDNA in Quebec City said the stage was so high at the front that she only saw from her torso up.

Arena, easily. Stadiums are amazing for atmosphere but they're too big

Arenas are best for proper shows, people can see and interact better with all of the production details of the show

Stadiums and parks/festivals are great for shows with less production value, where an artist just performs their songs, old school

Stadiums are the worst concerts I have been to. I prefer parks (like such at festivals) or club/theater scenes. Like when Gaga did shows at Roseland ballroom, that was THE ****. Arenas are great too, only if you're on the floor though.

I just love the feeling of clubs/bars/smaller venues when you're literally inches away from an artist singing the words right in front of their face. There's no other feeling like it.

Anyone saying stadiums are not concert freaks.

There's nothing like being in a Stadium with a massive crowd, but Arena's still have a great atmosphere too. I don't think I really have a preference.
