ah, that's the one I watched. A photographer came down to teach some kids how to take pictures and how to use the camera and the kids were so talented. Then, she tried to help them get enrolled in boarding schools so they could leave their homes and have better lives. The ending was sad when we learned what became of most of them.

I should do Queen of the Clouds. I'm listening to Hurts though (their debut album is holy) so I'll finish this album and have dinner and then review Tove Lo!

I could never listen to Nicki album all the way through the titles alone. Not for everyone. I will admit, one time I got my life from Stupid Hoe with my sister. I'd never listen it alone, however

HORRIBLE REVIEWS
QUEEN OF THE CLOUDS - TOVE LO
1. The Sex (Intro)
Before even listening, I'm already looking forward to it because 1) it's Tove Lo and 2) the title, hehe. *Presses play* Ah, spoken word is so grating sometimes, thankfully she only did it for like one second (well 6). It's honestly not even rate-able? I'll try anyway.
7/10
2. My Gun
The vocals I love these chorus like intros, it gives a cool little vibe. The instrumental is so good; always interesting. The melody is very infectious, I love it. The "that's my gun, mmhm" is so catchy. The background vocals I love the gun sounds in the back. The drums are a bit overdone (they are too fuzzy for my liking) but I can overlook that cause it's not too big problem. The chorus gave me chills simply because of her voice. I love the softness. The breakdown was random, but good although it added nothing. Lyrically, it's nice enough. It ended right when I thought it was getting kinda long.
8.7/10
3. Like Em Young
Very interesting vocal intro. The melody was boring for the first second and then it turned rather exotic. This has a very 50s feel but also with world influences, at least to me. The lyrics are cheeky, I can appreciate it. It's overall a catchy song (what's with the fuzzy drums, though). The background vocals are stellar. The bridge is so good. It ended too soon. However the final chorus felt like forever.
7.9/10
4. Talking Body
This song is so perfect. It's such a bop on the radio and it's such a bop in studio quality. I love the chorus synths. Her voice is just so special. I might turn into a stan if the rest of the album is as good as these first couple tracks. If you love me right. we **** for life is the lyric of my life. It's literally the perfect length, too. Keep em c*mming, Tove!
10/10
5. Timebomb
I've heard a lot of this about this one. Anyway, the piano... don't know if I like it? The melody is also very hard to get used to but I do think I like it? So confused. Yeah, I like this... Her voice makes everything sound good, to be honest. The chorus is disappointing. It sounds like a bad Born This Way chorus (Highway Unicorn, anyone?) It also reminds me of Gypsy, in a good way. It's very polarizing, too much for me to take in one song. It is also very overproduced. I low-key want this to be over already. It had a cool 80s vibe but not enough.

QUEEN OF THE CLOUDS - TOVE LO
6. The Love
Ooh, I get it. It's a nice story! Cool concept. I can relate to this. My past self, anyway. I don't need nobody (Delirum out on iTunes) anymore even after sex.
7/10
7. Moments
Ah, rating while on the first listening is really as challenging as I thought. Anyway, lemme press play. Cool percussion. Sounds like those Indian instruments, I enjoy the sound they make a lot. The melody is kinda boring. The chorus tries to be epic but it's also boring. This sounds like a grower, I think. But I am not really enjoying it now (I do love the I can make you c*m line, her writing style is refreshing. I don't like the "wild one" lyric though). I like the final moments of the chorus and that's it, it's kinda blocky. The bridge is soooo good. Easily the best part. (That alone would be a 9/10). However, overall it's not as pleasant.
6.9/10
8. The Way That I Am
She has a way of ending melodies so that the rest of them don't sound as boring as they did for the first few seconds, am I making sense? Anyway, I don't like the pre chorus. The chorus is very hypnotic (the second before it began I was praying for a chorus like this and I got it!) It's nice. I like the instrumental, it's a nice blend of dark and dancey. The second chorus was ruined by the buildup but it got better. It ended suddenly, but maybe that's a good thing.
7.5/10
9. Got Love
This album seems to do the same trick with the interesting percussion in the beginning of songs. Well, so far I like it. From the moment she began singing, I started smiling. This one is another killer track. The melody is so infectious. I love the internal repetition (if that makes sense). The synths during the verses are very 80s the chorus is alright, not bad I will say. When the drum pattern gets fuller in the second chorus, it feels better. The bridge melody is disappointing but those strings make up for it, I wish the whole song featured them now. They are perfect and blend so well with the song.
8.5/10
10. Not On Drugs
I've heard this one before, it's nice. Catchy and simple. The chorus melody falls flat but I get used to it as the song goes on. The verse melody is very good. Ugh, her voice is sooo good. That's definitely the highlight of her album. The bridge is so interesting, I love the weird vocals. I don't really like the wannabe epic drums, though. They are borderline obnoxious.

HORRIBLE REVIEWS
QUEEN OF THE CLOUDS - TOVE LO
11. The Pain
Enjoying this storytelling but this specific one made me cringe.
5/10
12. Thousand Miles
The melody is sooo good. It was sounding a bit boring but her voice saved it. I'm actually enjoying the production now. The prechorus is everything. That falsetto, woo. The chorus is disappointing. It has potential but it was not fully explored. I don't like the voice effect at the end of the verses before the prechours (on headphones they are grating). I like the chours a little more the second time around. After very nice bridges, this one is a let down though. Even so, it's one of the better songs I've heard. The bridge definitely works better as an outro. I love it there.
8/10
13. Habits (Stay High)
Is it a coincidence that such a perfect song is number thirteen? I think not. I have loved this ever since I first heard it last summer. The production sounds a bit different than what I'm used to, though. Sometimes it's not as good, sometimes it's better (the strings) so it evens out with the one I'm used to. I know the lyrics are kinda weird but I like them, they feel honest. I am loving the progression of the story, I was expecting this one to fall somewhere around here in the album. She is doing a good job at the tracklisting.
10/10
15. This Time Around
It starts out kinda severely. Anyway, I do enjoy the melody once again. Her melodies are so unique. The prechorus is very good, I wish it were a few seconds longer. Her choruses have been a let down they have the same formula for a lot of the songs, it's getting kinda old. However, this is one of the better ones (out of the disappointing choruses with the same feel). The bridge is nice and soothing (I love the synths). I do love her voice, but in this one, I feel if Ellie sung the chorus, it would sound so much better.
7/10
15. Run On Love (QOTC EDIT)
A remix in the middle of the album? It's kinda annoying but besides the production, it has a good melody. I enjoy it for what it is. Oooooh. waiT I did not ask the breakdown to slay me this much! Very 90s and oh so enjoyable! The rest of the song, production wise, isn't selling it though, at least not on first listen. It's getting more enjoyable the more I listen to. I'm really loving the breakdown, though which is a 10/10 by itself. Hm.. overall a 7.9 feels too low but an 8 feels too high.

HORRIBLE REVIEWS
QUEEN OF THE CLOUDS - TOVE LO
16. Habits (Stay High) [Hippie Sabotage Remix]
Another remix for extra long editions like this, they should push these all the way to the end. Anyway, I guess I'll review it. *Play* Cool vibe, the intro was too long though. It's very slow and almost hypnotizing with all the repetition. I would probably listen to this while relaxing. Spoke too soon, the building up was kind of obnoxious. I can't decide if the chorus was ruined or not. At this point I want it to be over, but again, I appreciate it for what it is. The verses are the best part (and outro).
7.3/10
17. Love Ballad
The title Before playing it though, I must say I am not bored and I am actually looking forward to the rest of the tracks (for now). That's always a good sign. Especially after 16 tracks. Anyway. That organ sound, ew. But interesting. The drums, kind of annoying. But the melody, very good. I feel like it could'v been just a tad bit better at the tailend of the last lines in the stanzas though. Anyway, I like the chorus for once. It wasn't disappointing although it wasn't addictive either. The lyrics are very Habits (Stay High) ish and I would normally criticize someone for that, but it's been made clear that it's her style and I am buying into it The bridge is very good. Overall it's a well balanced song. Nothing exceptional but nothing let me down either.
7.5/10
18. Paradise
Ooh, Ellie is a copycat I see Kidding aside, the instrumental is annoying but the melody is verrrry good. Kinda reminds me of the I Knew You Were Trouble chorus at some parts. Very catchy. The chorus is very good, but the part after the chorus is very bad. Eep. I'm not bored so that's a good sign. I love the drums difference between the verses and the chorus, it works well for this song. However, the overmodulation of the synths is kind of extra.
8/10
19. Over
I like the chord progression. The melody is good as well (her verse melodies have all been really good, at least most of them). The chorus is good I think? I do enjoy the oh oh over part a lot which makes a large part of the chorus, so I'll take it. The second prechorus slays (I love the drum change right before the second chorus). The bridge is great, the melody is eh but the end justifies it all.
8/10
20. Out of My Mind
It started out interesting has has so far stayed that way. Not the strongest melody I've heard but the instrumentation is one of the best. Ugh, the chorus is a let down though. DAMMIT I had high hopes for it. Her verses are so good though. The chorus sounded catchier the second time around, I'm still not convinced though. The bridge though I love the beat change, it works a lot more this way.
