adjusted albums (i.e. multiplying the sales). There's no grounds for that method unlike music consumption.

equivalents are sales (11.3M for 21), TEAs (~28M for 2.8 equivalents, I'm guessing) and SEAs (no clue for just the U.S.) It's basically at 14M without SEAs but its catalog sales will easily push it past Double Diamond by the end of the decade.
Shania still has the second biggest peak after legend Whitney, though Adele will at least snatch Shania before the decade's up.
