Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and chief executive of Facebook, announced Tuesday that he and his wife would give 99 percent of their Facebook shares “during our lives” — holdings currently worth $45 billion — to charity.
The pledge was made in an open letter to their newborn daughter, Max.
He has and is worth more money than anyone would ever need in a lifetime already anyway. Might as well give it away. Like literally, his whole family is basically set for generations to come tbh.
He's such an amazing person.
He's satisfied with 1% of the many billions he has, because what else does he need money for? He's obviously not into fame or all the materialism that comes with it.
He's so down-to-earth, it's very intriguing.
Hope all this money is handled better than Bill's, though.
Good for him. And he's so young too, but clearly has his head screwed on right and his priorities in order. I'm sure they'll raise their daughter to be a wonderful person as well and she won't turn out to be another spoiled rich brat
