Interviewer: You just turned 30 days ago (Nov. 21), was that a big benchmark for you?
Carly: It was in a lot of other people’s eyes which was bringing me sort of pause and nerves because every person in interviews would be like, ‘The big 3-0,’ almost like it was some cold I was about to catch. I didn’t actually let it get to me until my actual birthday. And on my actual birthday I totally had a meltdown. It wasn’t so much because, ‘I’m 30! Oh my God!’ It was I was so sleep deprived coming back from (a work trip in) Japan. I think my boyfriend finally woke me up at 4 p.m. and brought in some meal and I just started crying like, ‘I’m too tired to eat!’ He was like, ‘Okay, maybe you should go back to sleep.’ And then I’ll figure we’ll do like a proper B-Day dinner celebration when I’m back in L.A.
