The new album (which is yet to be titled) is set to be released late Spring 2016 and will serve as follow up to "Jackie". The album will feature a more mature pop sound with the lead single titled "Baby Get Up feat. R3hab". The song produced by R3hab himself was initially gonna be put it on his new album but since Ciara loved the song so much, they decided to put it on Ciara's new album. The song is set to be released sometime in late January of 2016.
The album will also feature a dark R&B electro rock sound, similar to her Rolling Stone cover of "Paint it Black". The album will also contain dance aspects from the Crunk N B era "Goodies" but with an updated touch. To further fullfill this, Ciara will be in the studio in December with producer Jazzy Phae, responsible for "1,2 Step". Ciara is also set to work on a special collaboration for the album with Icon Janet Jackson.
