Single sells dont always translate to album sells
example: Fetty Wap, Alesia Cara, Ellie Goulding, Charli XCX, Sia
and at you judging artist on how long it takes them to get certified

Did they have a number one hit? No. Did they have a song that sold 5,000,000 in the US alone? No.
500,000 is disappointing for a person that had a #1 hit that sold 5M lmao

With 2 pop number 1 hits with audiences in the 100 mill? Hell yes.

500,000 is not disappointing for anyone to reach, especially in this sales climate. But its nice that you stan for #1's and album sales.
Iggy is not a strong album seller, ill acknowledge that but seling over 500k is an achievement no matter how long it took to get there

Then we should also include:
Pharell's album, it barely went gold and it had Happy.
Robin Thicke had blurred lines and his album is gold.
Those two artists have been in the game for YEARS too.
Sales are low, #1 songs do not equal album sales.
Iggy's album was a debut, stop sis.
Sales are low, point blank. If you're not Taylor Swift and cranking out hit after hit, your album isn't going to sell.

A #1 and a top 10 makes you one of the biggest rap acts?
Fancy is definitely one of the biggest songs, but Iggy her self isn't.

Not you listing 2 other flop albums to further emphasise what I already established.
Rappers like drake, j Cole n Kendrick don't seem to have that issue. The latter 2 without actual cross over hits

Male rappers have always sold more than female rappers.

No, the point is that Albums aren't crossing gold nowadays like they use to.
Hits don't equal album sales, so you saying "SHE HAS TWO HITS, BUT HER ALVUM IS ONLY GOLD'mn!!!!"
Doesn't make any sense. Your hate for Iggy is clouding your judgement.
That's my point. Stop trolling.

Pharrell's album had 591K+ sales in the US, how is that barely gold? It was also nominated for album of the year, and sold atleast 1M+ worldwide. Plus Happy was a song for a movie, not officially for his album.

Lorde had 2 top 10 hits as well, and her debut album managed to go platinum. Having a debut isn't an excuse. The GP aren't here for Iggy.

Here it is.
The level of "reaching" has exceeded what I thought it could.
It went gold, that's that. And yes BARELY, 91k above 500k is barely.
And Where the hell did I mention Grammys?
Happy was on Pharell's album as well.
Just stop, not everyone is Taylor Swift sis.

Which makes it even more impressive that she went gold and had 2 top ten hits.

when did I say that everyone was taylor? I mentioned the grammys because of the recognition the album has received, people barely knew that Iggy had an album out. Plus Pharrell and Robin only had 1 hit on their album, Iggy had 2 top 10 hits. Fancy managed to sell 5M+ In the US alone, Black Widow was also everywhere. If shes so successful, how come her album debuted with 52k, and had like just sold 500k, or maybe less than that. Hell, even Halsey debuted with 97k, and she doesn't have a song that charted at the top 40 atm. The GP are not here for Iggy.

Right?!
Wasn't it just mentioned that she has two multi-platinum hit songs?
But the GP isn't "here" for her.
Trolls trolls trolls.
