I have over 400 CDs. Downloading a song I will listen to once a year, if that, that isn't memorable is not against the law. These laws are what's corrupting our music industry. Maybe if artists released better music, I would buy every song by them.
I buy music from good artists on iTunes, when I could easily download them for free. I bought Justin Bieber's latest single (One Less Lonely Girl) cause he's talented. I bought Sara Evan's latest single, I bought Backstreet Boy's latest single.
I plan on buying The Rocket Summer's EP this Tuesday. Wasting .99 cents on a song I will listen to once a year is not going to bring me to Hell. If I listen to an album at least 5 times, I buy it. End of story. Music is a gift, it shouldn't even be priced. You can sing your heart out to someone and it would be considered free...
It doesn't matter how many times you listen to the illegally downloaded song, it doesn't matter if you delete it five minutes after, and it CERTAINLY doesn't matter that you have 400 albums.
Yeah, I have. It's not really something I'm proud of, but I'm not ashamed of it either. I think it's just a natural part about being a teenager and acting stupid cause everyone else does it.

i download tons of music and i still go to the music store to get some CD's
Exactly. It's just part of our culture now. :redthing: No one is perfect. I support the artists I love, I don't support the artists I don't. It's part of the facts of life.
and as you said... buying before trying now is a waste of money... some albums just come with one good song and you know you'll never listen to it again
and BTW buying songs is so lame
if im going to buy something.. make it real not "virtual"
the nice thing about the Cds is that you can make a collection of them, read the booklet and have the CD on YOUR HANDS!
