No doubt that when it comes to self-embarrassment we have an expert in you here.
Will you stick to your word this time ? Didn't really seem to be the case the first time around

They don't care about her. They care about writing exciting stories and broken records are exciting.

Not so much, people still thought she was weird and not everyone's cup of tea. Not to mention the transgender jokes.
The things I've listed above are obsessively seen as doing no wrong and being wholesome and perfect.

She was seen as someone who was bringing back the ZEST in pop music after years of urban and pop/rock dominance & was a media fixation until they dropped her like a fly, so she qualifies.

The media is fickle & honestly full of ****. They did it to Taylor last year & are doing it for Adele now. They move onto the next one with no shame.

Brown nosing doesn't just refer to a lot of attention, otherwise it would also apply to Kim Kardashian. It involves a person or thing being constantly praised sycophantically and always looked at in a positive light. Gaga was always polarising and controversial.

The sales are amazing but Adele herself is so basic. I just find it odd that out of all the musical acts in the world, Adele is the one doing those numbers.
25 is no doubt benefitting from 21 which is only good for Rolling In The Deep. But RITD isn't good enough for all this.

She has more personality than all of the pop girls combined.

Gaga being seen as "weird" was not looked at as a bad thing. It was something that was used in her favor, not against her. There's a reason she was able to sell all of those records, win a gazillion awards, etc. when her other counterparts weren't nearly as popular as she was. If her "weirdness" was a bad thing, the media would have torn her apart and Gaga wouldn't have happened, but it was positive to them. She was the "savior of pop music/culture" before 21. She was more interesting than the other "pop girls" and made everything "fun" again. I know stans like to nitpick for their favorites while dissing others, but she was "brown-nosed" as well. Let's stop it.

RITD is an amazing song. I'm sure it will be the song of the decade and deservingly so. None of her post-RITD material comes close.

I'm sorry but Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Lady GaGa, Miley Cyrus, Kesha, P!nk and more all have personality to spare. Plus, I'm not even talking about her personality.
She stands and sings. Look at what P!nk and Gaga and Beyonce can do while singing perfectly. But because they put on shows, they're not looked at as "true singers" as people like to call Adele. Yet if you got those 4 on a stage, I wonder how poorly Adele would look in comparison if they all just sang.

Lol @ P!nk. I like her but don't make me drag her. She has no personality outside of being an angry pop rocker. Otherwise, she's boring as ****.

Including YOUR fave P!nk herself:
Quote:
"When I first heard Adele, I was on tour, alone in a hotel room in London, watching her sing from a rooftop on YouTube - a song called Hometown Glory. I thought, 'Who is this creature? This voice! Her tone! Why is the entire world not watching this video?
"I'm always so happy when the world catches on to something great. Especially when it's authentic talent, great songwriting and a unique package. I am so relieved that Adele possesses the kind of beauty that she does, that she's crass and funny and that she sings live - and incredibly.

It's still nothing compared to the deity treatment Beyonce has gotten over the past few years.

Please don't throw P!nk quotes at me. I have any public word she's said since becoming famous committed to memory. She has no personality outside of her personality? Claps for that brilliant statement. Oh and she hasn't been angry since the 90's but I suppose that doesn't fit well with what you were going for.
Support Adele all you want but let's try to remain on planet Earth shall we?

Yeah, definitely! It's embarassing. In my opinion, I view Adele as someone who is talented and makes good music.. but nothing worthy of the catastrophic praise she's currently getting.
The GP, critics & the media also nonstop praising her songwriting skills, yet it was confirmed that she spent £4m on cowriters
Also can everyone in this thread stop with the " You aren't allowed an opinion because you stan ____"?
It sounds stupid to say, for example: You aren't allowed to criticise singing ability because your favourite singer isn't the best singer or You aren't allowed to criticse lyrics because your favourite singer didn't have writing credits on a particular song... do you guys know how petty and stupid it sounds?
