In hindsight I wish Bey didn't do a re--release for ST. 7/11 and Ring Off are amazing (for very different reasons) but I could've taken them as standalone singles.

Sometimes I think that 7/11 hurt her with GRAMMY voters. You have to keep in mind these are people just like anyone else and you can almost guarantee that a lot of them just voted based on the preconceived notion of what AOTY should be. Without even actually sitting down and listening to all the nominees in full

If they're just filling out their ballots and the last song they remember from ST is 7/11 I could see them scoffing at it.

I really wanted her to win AOTY with her next album! but now with Adele she has next to no chance regardless of how incredible the album would be.

I don't think AOTY will come around again so soon.

I hope Naughty Boy himself doesn't have much influence on the sound of the album, but his and Clean Bandit's songs often have an element of simple, stripped back production that builds. Like a combination of No Angel and Rocket with electronic/dance influence I suppose. I'd be here for trap replacing the tired dance beats and creating a sonic landscape for B6 that feels fresh.

Hymn for the Weekend is great but it definitely feels like a Coldplay song.

why shouldnt Bey pull a Beck tho? Similar to Beck, it would then be her 3rd AOTY nomination, she better snatch next time shes up for it.

I love love love the way she sounds on Hymn For The Weekend. I keep listening to the beginning of it.

I thought the tea on her not winning the AOTY had already been spilled by one of the producers of the album. Who was also part of the Grammy committee this year. Th urban voters didn't vote for her. Some of them didn't even believe the self title album was a contemporary R&B album. I mean the mere fact, Pharell won the R&B contemporary , told me all I needed to know. Considering she had all the winning factors( sales, critical acclaim and impact) going for her. I just feel there was a lot resentment and jealousy coming from that voting group, due to the impact and success of that album.

I hardly doubt she cares about the grammys and their politics. I feel after the 2015 grammys experience, she's over it.

Having a smash hit, has nothing to do with. Considering the fact, she had critical acclaim, album success and impact. Things Beck didn't have, but still won it. Beyoncé could have all the smash hits like the IASF era and still not win. Especially not when the Grammy urban voters didn't support her all the way.

It's an embarrassment that the urban voters let jealousy get in the way of one of their own winning the biggest award of the night. The fact that that man had to FIGHT to even get ST nominated in the urban contemporary category says it all

There were so many signs that foreshadowed her AOTY loss tbh :

- The overhyping that was coming from EVERYONE, not only her fans
- The overrated Sam and Pharrell getting nominated and thus stealing her urban/pop voters
- Beck being a white man who makes rock music, lost AOTY three times prior to 2015, had been in the game since 1994 and being the underdog
- Beyoncé's name being too big for her own good. Snubbing her gave them MASSIVE publicity (especially with Kanye jumping on stage) and they knew what they were doing. Just look at the reactions on social media, people blew this out of proportion. Nobody would have cared that much if she wasn't mother****ing Beyoncé Knowles
- I think that 7/11 lowkey hurt her credibility
- Her being a huge popstar, Grammys don't like that
- Their bias pro rock/country music and anti Rnb/Hip-Hop

She might win one day though

Her losing urban album of the year was worse they betrayed her
No wonder she is shifting towards the Europe smashes now
