All of that was known. Some fans need to go back and read, if they ever did in the first place.
I'd LOVE to hear the thoughts on Dumbledore though. I need more cause there really are sooooo many issues there.
The only reason people don't get this is because (to put it in ATRL terms) some people stanned Snape so hard they tried to excuse everything he did, which created a huge pushback in the fandom and created a legion of Snape anti-stans that wanna reduce him down to an irredeemable, entitled niceguy. I'm so glad I read HP without any awareness of the fandom at all. Most things are more enjoyable without the fan culture tbh
Are some of you hating on the one author and the one book that made a LOT of kids and adults of my generation and previous generations read books willingly?
I was one of the kids that literally grew up with HP. When the first Harry Potter movie came out, I was like 8 (not far from the characters' age).
I lived in Armenia and I started reading Harry Potter in ENGLISH, willingly when I was like 11.
Oh and from the first movie that I saw in the cinema i instantly became a fan of Snape and sticked with it till the end and I am very pleased with him and his story. So complex and so beautiful.
