), I get that Adele and the executives wanted
25 to be family-friendly, but I can't at lyrics that completely skirt a word or phrase. Like "while we do what lovers do"? That's such a stupid lyric (though Adele fully sells it when she sings it). It's not a euphemism or a clever spin; it's clearly trying to avoid a direct mention of sex. You can easily imply sex without looking like you're deliberately avoiding it.
