Adele is far more talented than N'Sync, and 25 has a lot of potential smashes. Also, Adele appeals to a far larger audience than N'Sync did.

But only one of those albums was a cultural and artistic revolution, Born This Way. Thank you, God.

talent has nothing to do with sales seeing as 90% of the albums on this list aren't even good.

Adele will not have the rapid drop off N'Sync suffered from with Celeberty. Justin Timberlake has been around for a while now though, even if N'Sync hasn't. Still, Adele has a much bigger and broader fan base than JT. He had the top selling album in 2013, but it sold less than 2.5 million for the entire year. I'm not saying that this number is bad, but 25 outdid The 20/20 Experience in one week. I don't know how much part 2 sold, but I thought it was less than 1 million.

21's biggest week was "only" around 700k (the first full week after the 2012 Grammys), and therefore not on this list. But I'd have to say 21 still had a bigger effect on the music industry as a whole than BTW. I'm not a Gaga hater though, as it's very disappointing to see BTW barely doubled its opening week numbers. BTW deserved better than that, at least 3 million. Her vocals really shine on "You & I," the song that also clearly displayed her ability to move beyond the Dance/EDM realm of music.

25 like Celebrity were both off the heels of big albums that obviously gave them both a push in sales. The album is weak and I don't see it doing 21's #s.

I'll bookmark this. Celebrity maxed out at around 5.5 million TOTAL. 25's sales projections by year's end is 6 million. Some projections are even pushing it to 7 million.
Even if it doesn't do 25 numbers, it will be a lot closer to its sales than Celebrity was to NSA.

Agreed. 25 is already up to 4.5 million in the US, will cross 5 M next week, and some sources say she could sell as many as 7.7 M before 2015 ends.
