This and this. Diary idea/concept is great...but the music wasn't up to par or Rihanna's standards.
They THOUGHT the album was finished though. I'm sure they got nervous with BBHM did moderately well, and AO and FFS flopped.
So, I heard that a particular super producer was told to re-do one of Rihanna's new songs for R8. This was just a week or so BEFORE the HDD rumors began. So, she definitely was recording up until recently (and/or probably still now).
But I'm not going to say the name of the producer...b/c I'm not sure what's been revealed w/ who's working on the project (i'm joining the party late
). And if I tell it, it'll out me as to where I work.
But yeah...the delays are last minute, for sure, due to recording.
