I truly love the fact we stan for an ambitious and competetive superstar. Like, Im 150% sure Bey is already recording and thinking of new ways to release quality music so she can snatch AOTY.

With Runnin + Hymn, shes reintroducing herself to a large audience who has probably neglected her ever since the IASF-era ended. On reddit, I read some comments on Hymn from the die hard Coldplay fans and they said they remember Bey from DC Its good that she noticed she has to reach a broader audience again.

Beyonce can be nominated several times....but how can she get the majority to give her all the votes she needs to WIN? there's no reason why Self Titled should not have won but ppl dont want to give her the final vote.

a) The Grammys arent known for giving AOTY for albums that overtly celebrate sex. Theyd rather rewards albums that only talk about heartbreak, political injustice, etc.. The typical topics if u wish.

b) She probably lost a lot of votes to Pharell whose album also belonged to the RnB/Urban category. So by default, if only a handful of people in the comitee enjoy RnB/Urban music and their votes are split, this decreases the cance of winning of AOTY.

c) real artist vs popstar



and at the end of the day always remember: Kanye didnt even get a nomination for My beautiful dark twisted mind, one of the best rap albums of ALL time. I think that says a lot. Grammys do not like controversial albums.

and also...Beyonce collabing on other people's albums has never been indicative of what Beyonce does on HER album. so let all the stans keep that in mind.

so i would not get too excited & form any opinions on what direction Beyonce is going to go musically because she is a guest on somebody else's song.

well i dont want Beyonce to compromise her music just to get an award. i can't imagine Beyonce would find that satisfying as an artist. that was part of the brilliance of ST...she did what she wanted from the music down to release and not even trying to push it commercially.

and if the Grammy's has all these prejudice feelings....why did they even nominate the album?

true, however it can still be noticed that Bey is currently collaborating with particularly successful British acts -> Coldplay, Naughty Boy, Clean Bandit, possibly Adele and Ed Sheeran.

I dont believe in randomness when it comes to Bey or the idea of her just doing something for fun. As she said in earlier interviews, she hates being predictable or repeating herself cause it bores her. So her chosing to record and release new songs by collaborating with British artists seems to indicate shes currently in the mood of heading in this direction.
Also, Bey is a perfectionist and wants to give the audience a great tour. I guess she probably realized that the music from ST does not translate very well on stage, so B6 is likely to include more songs that could turn up a stadium and could be performed live pretty well.

Beyonce has done plenty of things just for fun....such as 7/11 + video, WDYLM video, and "Check On It" which she flat out said was terrible but they played around on it.

While Beyonce is mingling with Coldplay, Clean Bandit, Naughty Boy and whoever. She's ALSO been in the studio with Future, Mike Will Made It, and a few urban ppl.

So far...we don't know if its going to trap or some Euro stuff or who she will be talking to months from now.

Yeah when Beyonce starts an album (her collaborators and etc.) it is usually very different from the end result.

I'm with ChriZ on this. Her collaborations/pre-era songs aren't always the end result, that's true.... but I won't be surprised if there are a few "European-pop" sounding songs on the album. She definitely seems to be slowly rebranding herself as a pop force in that continent.

Plus the adel and ed collab if its not on their album I dont want it. Unlease it a real amazing song. I wanted B collab on Adel album. But seeing how thing and all the fans of music are on the bandwagon of adel.

What you guy think if she do something like gaga, jt or usher. Release an album Pop and a year later or after the 4th single an Ep with tsome of the urban track? With 3 single on that EP that way you get the best of both world. Plus she can tour longer. $$$$$$$$

She diidnt win AOTY because she needed another Smash. If she had another true smash she would have won. But this either mean she is aming for another masterpiece!!! Or she will do what she really wants either way we cant lose!!! B6 will be amazing
