For me, pretty much any song on Oops! I Did It Again could've been a single back in the early 00s, its just that iconic and for me the epitome of a pure pop album. Her vocals were at her best during this phase, and it shows. Release OKFY, WYSIWYG, WAYN, CMYLM, DGKOMD, WYESI, all would've been hits.
In The Zone is her most adventurous album, so I put it in 2nd place, almost 1st. So many great songs here, just a shame about that knee crap. Ended a great era abruptly, and you know Britney hates Outrageous for that lol.
Circus is a great album. Not the best single choices, but then again, not the best tracklisting. When your bonus tracks are better than most of what made it in, we have a problem. But songs like Unusual You are hard to come by, and I just love so many of the songs on it.
Between Britney and Blackout, back in the day of release I thought Blackout was the best of all, but its just been doing down my list over the years. Its not an album I come back to as often as I do with the ones I've mentioned before. Still great, but I'm not into it as much. So I give this one to Britney because its a rock solid album with great videos. The singles could've been better - the fact that BTGB went from planned 1st single to European bonus track shows how clueless her team can be when selecting the album (again). Its a recurring problem And radio boycotting her music didnt help the era.
I put Baby One More Time next because even though there were several fillers, it still had some standout moments, and the singles are amazing. BTMYH is probably her best single ever.
Between FF and BJ, hate to say it but I prefer BJ. FF had the better singles, and it was coherent, but I just liked the songs on BJ better, even though I dont care for WB and Perfume. But I liked the range, and her vocals seemed more organic here. Hold On Tight and Body Ache <3
