I had access to people's personal information like full names, birthday, address, ID number or other contact numbers / email address. I could also know how much credit or data someone has left on their mobile. I could know where and when they bought their mobile or put credit / data on their mobile. The police often works with us to track potential criminals and I also had the power to cancel someone from using their phone (but that is really, really rare and in extreme cases). What I'm trying to say is, I knew a lot of behind-the-scenes of mobile companies, got to know a lot of people's personal lives, and people are not safe as long as they are using modern technology.

I don't know if its true.

Happy I'm not an organ donor!

I work in retail and if a customer is really rude to me I'll "accidentally" double charge an item so they can wait in the long ass customer service line to get their money back. I don't deserve the disrespect

I don't think this is at all a surprise, not even sure it it's exactly true - BUT, my friend worked in a restaurant here, she was looking for some money after she dropped out of Uni to keep herself going, she was going to be restarting Uni when the year began again, so she was only looking for work for like 6 months or so. She got a job at a local restaurant (it was a chain though) and it was through a friend, so she was working off the books and just getting cash in hand, since she wasn't a registered employee, and she was working a zero hour contract. So basically she worked for a few weeks, working mad hours since she was zero hour and found out as a result they were paying her less than the minimum wage. So she kind of got to the point where she began lessoning her hours and rejecting shifts. Basically the managers were getting pissed at her and were lowering her pay each time and giving her the ****** jobs to do. Eventually when she decided to leave, they refused to pay her her weeks laying time and told her that there wasn't anything she could do about it, since she was working off the record and had no working rights tied with them since she wasn't an official employee. She basically said she'd never work in hospitality again, they did her so dirty.

~ Back at my old retail job, we used to tell the customer in the changing room that their shirt didn't match the pants and toss them some of our shirts over the changing room door. Not really shocking but it was a common thing to do.
~ Lying to people, saying that this material is "seasonal" so that they buy it on the spot.
~ We asked for their name because it is psychologically more feeling to address someone with their names; therefore, them becoming friends with us and buying the item as a favor.
~ Always used to ask, "well, how are your current pairs of shoes?" when they were wearing ugly ones.
So much more, don't trust any retail employees, it's so staged. I worked there for a year and it's just depressing to pretend all the time.

I think there's a line of law here though. If working standards says it's illegal to pay employees less than minimum wage, you'd expect that regardless of your contract implications. Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way since it's my friend, but I can't see how that situation is her fault.

In retail, during freight and restocking products get dropped ALL the time.
And I mean, they have been times when products (particularly electronics in my experience) that cost for example $500-1000 dollars get dropped 10 feet because associates are putting it up on "overstock" and they put it right back so they can sell it!!
