Justin Timberlake is not leaving pop music behind to pursue a career as a country singer, despite a new tabloid report. We can exclusively debunk this rumor. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to Star, Timberlake is ready to switch up music genres for good. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “He’s enlisted the help of a few top country singers. He’s nervous about the public perception, but he’s a country boy at heart, and it’s something he’s always wanted to do.”
The tabloid’s questionable “insider” also goes on to claim that Timberlake will begin working on a supposed country album very soon. However, he doesn’t have a new album scheduled.
What makes Timberlake unique is that “he doesn’t have any genres. He’s not wed to any type. He just makes music. That’s what separates his music from everybody else’s.”
And while Timberlake has produced country songs before, he’s not leaving other genres and “going country” from here on in, as claimed by Star. It’s simply “not true.”
