You say "the whole cause" as if there's only one social justice issue and it's the same 5 people in the world who are talking about it.
Besides, these activists probably support a lot of things that are meaningless and silly things to you. If it's meaningless to you, ignore it. FYI, cultural appropriation is a valid issue before Tumblr users hijacked it. If you're not sure what it is, steer clear.
This is not just happening in the US but in many western countries and it's scary.
