I don't understand the hype over Adele. I like her songs, but she's just a typical singer to me with good vocals. I don't have any of her albums. Not saying potentially I will check them out, but I don't really care to check them out.
Like what does Adele have that Jojo doesn't? Or Mariah Carey? Or Christina Aguilera? Or Jennifer Lopez? All these have beautiful voices that never really get their shine and their voices are more friendly. Adele is like listening to Oprea sometimes.
This is why I stick with underrated, indie artists. Frankmusik, San Cisco, Passion Pit, and Hurts. I've been rotating their new albums non-stop lately, yet no one will ever know about them.
