I hate the part when Lily Allen says illegal downloads will destroy the music and new artists will be sabotaged. That's completely short-sighted. Thanks to downloads (legal or not) new music is reaching out to more audience faster than ever, and the music business won't be destroyed as long as artists put out good music.

Free downloads are becoming an essential part of the showbiz, whether the authority favour it or not. They have to face it and think of new ways to make money out of it, not just try desperately in vain to block it. Many things have changed since Internet was invented and why can't they adapt to this change still ?

Yeah, Gaga wouldn't be one to support this. She is for giving fans their money's worth though. Can't say that for a lot of artists who produce a good single, but trashy album.
