Everything they said in that article is true. I'll admit that Katy Perry and Rihanna have their fair share of bops but is their music REALLY that memorable? Is most popular music nowadays REALLY good enough to stand the test of time?
The astonishing sales that Adele effortlessly achieves PROVES that the general public is still willing to buy music, it just has to be, well.... good. Not to mention, a singer should be able to.... well... sing. The Music award shows of the past 10 years has proven that most artists that perform are beyond mediocre, thus they don't deserve to sell well. I mean, ATRL literally fights over which "musicians" are more talented when in reality there are really only like 6 genuinely talented musicians singing pop music.
The labels need to get their s--t together and sign talented freaking people if they want people to actually buy music!!!
