I've always loved writing lyrics, but I've been kind of insecure, cuz i can't write the music itself, I can't play an instrument etc.
but ... does Adele write music ? Can she play an instrument ?
My question basically is, if I come up myself with the melodies (which I do) and someone else writes my music, can that work out ? I really want to make music

I'm pretty sure almost all of the PopGirls who write their music get most of their credit from writing lyrics.
Taylor and Gaga write their music on the piano/guitar tho.
And my point is that I come up with great melodies and if I sing it acapella, is it possible that someone can write it with notes on a piano or something ... ? I mean it probably is, but I just don't know how it works

When you say "someone else writes my music" what do you mean? If you come up with a melody and you come up with the lyrics, all that's left is a beat, no? Or do you mean sheet music? With the notes and all? Because that isn't relevant where writing a song is concerned.

Oh. I know how to do that. Anyone who can play an instrument well should be able to help you with that.
And I think Taylor did write on the guitar before, but for her more melodious music, such as a lot of Red and most of 1989, Max or another hook writer took care of it.

Of course, a lot of artists don't know how to write music or play an instrument but your voice is your instrument and you can do a lot with it.

If you come up with the melody to your lyrics you're still writing the music to it. I've played piano for years and with that I've found it a lot easier to write music from the instrument first, but it doesn't really matter how you do it. You're still putting effort into the lyrics so that's good in itself.

Usually the track/instrumentals/music is created before and songwriters sing or/and write lyrics to it to make it make sense, not the other away around.
A vocal melody is actually part of the songwriting, what you refer to as what you say you can't do at the moment is the instrumentals, that's other part of the songwriting. You are actually writing your vocal melodies and want people to help you writing the instrumentals and that's actually a method of work so yeah, of course you can make music like that.

Yes and no. the melody you come up with is usually the one played with your right hand (not in songs, but in piano covers, songwriters tend to write the melody down in notes for both hands) on the piano, what you need to support that is what you do with your left hand (chords or runs). You have to be able to provide both of those if you want it to sound exactly how you imagined it, otherwise the person playing the piano and writing the melody can improvise and 'figure out' what would work best for your base but that's honestly what makes the song and it may not necessarily be what you had in mind. Chord progression. I hope that makes sense.
