Yeah i'm the same, I can't let the doctors do any throat-related things. Think it comes from a fear of gagging.

Whatever you do, don't force yourself to vomit. That will make it even more excruciating experience for you.

I'd say if you got sick and felt nauseous, don't hold it in. I was sick for two weeks with food poisoning before because I wouldn't let myself throw up

Yes. I have this 100% for as long as I can remember! It's a terrible phobia to have, the worst it has is probably on your social life, as I rarely ever drink, or go out to parties, the bar or clubs, and when I do, I'm in complete fear the entire time that someone will be sick on me.

It's the opposite. As I suffer from acid reflux, I always feel nauseous after eating a meal - it might be mild or strong but I feel it anyway - which reminds me of that one and last time I threw up back when I was 4.

What doesn't help much is that my long-term memory is pretty strong. At least in these situations those are the sort of early memories I wouldn't wish to recall so vividly on a daily basis.
