NSync's album WAS available for preorder as well. You had to put $5 down at Sam Goody back then to preorder albums. I KNOW BECAUSE I DID.

And 10years ago you had to move and buy an album to listen it now in 5 seconds you can download it without paying anything.
And 10 years ago there wasn't the "album leak" online.
So 25 sales are "n" times more impressive than NSYNC sales.

Bad was still producing #1 singles a year after the debut song from the record. Not to mention the lifetime sales of Bad show it had incredible legs, it has massive lifetime sales, in Europe especially. You don't get that from a month or two of frontloaded success from Thriller's hype, which Bad followed nearly 5 years later.
