Their laws may seem unjust, barbaric or disgusting in the perception of western people but they are the fairest and most appropriate for them. They actually prevent even greater barbarism and disarray. These countries are just not ready (and probably will never be) for democracy and it would only result to a tumult and upheaval if the people were given more freedom. This is the reason why most Muslim countries (not just Arabs) are either monarchies or dictatorships and what many in the western world just don't seem to understand.

Only 50 years ago was US still a racist country where were people segregated based on their race and color, yet no country tried to overthrow their government for all the human rights violations on constitutional level. And if Im not mistaken, US called itself a free, democratic country even at a time when slavery was legal and common there.
Its funny how US could make its progress when it comes to human rights and equality without military interventions from other countries. Yet this same country is not giving the same possibilities to certain countries in Middle East, causing destabilization and humanitarian crisis in the region by overthrowing governments and trying to force democracy on people who have different mentality, traditions and way of life in a delusion that democracy is the only ideal system of government.
And the funniest bit is that they are overthrowing only governments of countries in the rival Shia oil alliance, not giving a damn about human rights violations in allied countries like SA or Izrael. Hypocrisy and greed at its finest.
