A lot of them have a tragic assortment of personality traits, narcissism being a major one. I generally prefer the content of those without such traits.
People are jealous that they make money by simply making videos.
I like some Youtubers, some of them have a great personality and it's fun to watch their videos when you're bored. And I simply don't watch the videos of the Youtubers I don't like, I'm not going to hate them.
I think there's a view that youtubers are lazy, or they don't deserve the views/money they get for the type of content they put out. A person that works a regular 9 to 5 could easily get irritated seeing someone upload a 5 minute video of them sitting in their room and talking about random **** and getting millions of views for it. Although there are youtubers that actually put effort into their videos, and work hard on putting out quality content and I have no problem with those types of youtubers. It's the people like pewdiepie that get on my nerves a bit because literally all he does is film himself playing a video game, say funny words and call it a day and somehow he's become the most subscribed and honestly I don't feel like he or other people like him deserve that. But if there's an audience and they're willing to watch his videos, then it's not completely his fault I suppose
I don't really hate any youtubers but I do understand how it can be annoying to some. Some youtubers put a lot of work into their videos and obviously invest a lot of time. Those people deserve the millions of views. It's the ones that just sit in front of a camera, making almost no effort that are annoying. And then they have the nerve to whine about how hard their life is and blah blah. Like bitch, all you have to do is make two videos in an entire week. Editing is not the end of the world either.
Making videos does not take that much time. Look at CommunityChannel. She makes solid videos, and she has a day job.
