1. Half of the people coming over the southern border are not from Mexico, and there's been a recent surge from other countries in last few years. That hasn't been accounted for in this study.

2. 40% of illegal immigrants overstay visas and don't cross a border, so illegal immigration is still a problem.

3. This study doesn't account for illegal immigrants. It uses a census and family self-report system to get data, and someone hiding from deportation is highly unlikely to fill out info for the govt. This study doesn't even use the words "illegal" or "undocumented", b/c they know those people aren't being accurately accounted.

4. Their study says their has been a net 15% decease in Mexican migrants, but doesn't say what the current trend is. For all we know a big number of Mexican migrants left right after the crash and are slowly coming back in. I could have missed that in the study, but I didn't see it.

So, this study does not prove illegal immigration is no longer a problem,.

Are yall daft. I understand the non-us people, but most Hispanic do not immigrate to the U.S to stay. Back when i worked at Mcdonalds, they would always tell me how they would move here, buy a house in Mexico, Columbia, or wherever they come from, fix it up and send money for their family to live on. And when they saved up enough money, they were moving back because everything was way cheaper. It's no surprise most are moving back since they didn't move here to stay anyways.....

Because there are people who do immigrate here to stay here multiple years. Which include Africans (specifically Nigerians), Asians (most prominent being Philippines) , and of course Hispanic people. Hispanic people only get the brunt of it because they are the easiest target.
I mean, also in our top ten illegal immigrants are the Chinese, Koreans, Indians, and Vietnamese. All of the residents from these countries actually try to stay here permanently and who he would mainly be protecting.

As multiple studies have indicated, Hispanics do not attempt to stay in the U.S as long as their Asian counterparts. There are only more of them in this country because of the ease of coming to and from. As this article stated, Hispanic's returned more to their country than came in. I just said it's unsurprising because unlike other immigrants, a majority do not have an intention to stay permanently. Feel free to refute it if you want without just saying "lol at this."
