And the 'living in sin is the new thing' is just fluff from a harmless song. I'm pretty sure I've stated my problem with the cross enough: but in case people can't read, here it is in simplest form: The cover manipulates the symbol to achieve some kind of deep message (give me a break), presumably negative since the cross is included in the word "monster," and the use of any symbol that represents ANY religious group, for manipulation, is a gross violation of the privacy of religion.
Saying "living in sin is the new thing" isn't manipulative, and it doesn't violate that privacy because sin is just a general term that doesn't really hold substance. The Christian cross, however, does, as does the Islamic crescent moon and star, or the Star of David.
Must be a cultural thing I suppose.
There's nothing else to say. You might think it's genius, and I've clearly stated that I don't agree, and I've given valid reasons. I'm sure you have valid reasons too. That's fine. The issue is dead, this thread isn't a debate about the qualities of the cover.
