It's really mostly the younger generation I hear saying he's a great MC. If you grew up in the 80s or 90s and grew up listening to 80s, 90s, 00s Hip-Hop you would respect his craft and his artistry, but know that Kanye is far from the greatest.
I will say to be fair he could have been replaced with Lil Wayne though.
