Pretty much. Here in the US, Roland Garros & AO are unknown and barely mentioned on the news unless an American is doing well, whereas there are usually results even on regular news channels and papers for each round of the US Open & Wimbledon. The other two are very local.

Wimbledon is obviously the most iconic.

Wimbledon > Roland Garros > AO > USO

The US Open is the epitome of local No one ever dreams of winning the USO, no one's favorite slam is the AO, there are never any good matches at the USO

The US Open is the Slam that has seen Stosur win (), Wozniacki reach the finals twice, have Pennetta beat Vinci in a final, and this was all in the past 7 years

Everyone loves the RG for its history. Does anyone care for USO's rude crowd? They don't even watch the tennis they are only on their phones. And drunk. The USO is a different kind of rude. The rudeness of the RG crowd comes from them actually knowing about tennis and appreciating its history. And all of their booings (sans Hingis-Graf '99) have been justified.

Idk how anyone can put anything but AO last, up until the years back, players used to skip it ffs

Also RG has the ugliest trophies

That's the objective ranking confirmed by a poll done on the players a few years back.

However, when it comes to my personal taste :

AO > Wimbledon > RG > USO

and AO has since gone on to produced some of the best matches in the sport and is the highest paying grand slam... Now they play in an exhaustive 40c heat to win it
