UK doctors to strike
Quote:
Junior doctors in England have overwhelmingly voted in favour of going on strike in their dispute with ministers over a new contract.
Some 98% voted in favour of a full strike and 99% in favour of action just short of a full strike.
The first walk-out will start on 1 December with another two dates earmarked for later in the month.
Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said the doctors' decision was "very, very disappointing" news.

Good. I work with them and it's really getting out of hand. Also they're walking out during the busiest period in the NHS. Ops.

Can someone give me more details? Usually I'd side with Dave and co., but this seems a bit excessive.

Just junior doctors. Qualified GPs, Doctors and Consultants are not included I believe.

Jeremy Hunt is straight up trash.
The two days in December where there will only be a bit of emergency cover (if we're lucky) are going to be a mess.
I support dis, tho. They're tryna widen the standard pay times from 7am-7pm Mon-Fri to 7am-10pm Mon-Sat.
