What she said was transphobic though and I am no fan of SJW bs there are plenty of trans people I don't get along with and have criticized in the past. I would never say a trans man doesn't understand what it's like to be a man just because he doesn't have the same experiences I do though. Being a man is not solely defined by my experiences and opinions on maleness. Caitlyn I think was probably being a bit tongue and cheek when she said that but even if it is 100% serious it is how she feels. She doesn't cease to be a woman just because she doesn't spend all day whining about the patriarchy or whatever it is Rose thinks she should be doing. She is also under no obligation to learn what being a woman is like for cis women, trans women have their own experience, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE!
and honestly "male privilege"? Caitlyn wasn't a man pre transition, She was just perceived that way by other people, did she benefit from that? Maybe sometimes but she was also suffering, she was unable to be who she truly was and unable to express it openly.
IDK how SJWs are handling this, if they are attacking Rose in the way they do others for "wrongthink" then I do not condone that but what she said was transphobic.
But Caitlyn wants to be a full fledged woman. How can she endure the fights women go through everyday when she'd rather decide what to wear and how good does her hair look?
Caitlyn has a long way to go. A loooong way to go, and I think that award, if given to a trans woman, should go to Laverne.
"You want to be a woman [...] You’re a woman now?"
This IS transphobia. Even if she's not transphobic at heart, she needs to understand a lot of concepts about this subject. Caitlyn is not trying to be a woman now, she always was and just now she's being able to express it externally.
