The guy who writes this is a self-hating, conservative gay guy. The right-wing loves him and that's why he's given a platform on that horrid site. Seriously, he writes against LGBT issues all the time, yet claims to worry about gay people due to some refugees. I can't take him seriously.

This. Our country has 1 mio. refugees plus the biggest muslim community in Europe. And no, muslims are not much different when it comes to homophobia in fact, most of them don't care about us. It's true that many muslims (at least those that I know) are against Gay marriage or think that Gay people are a sin but they don't protest against us because they are a minority themselves and the younger muslim generation is more liberal.

Homophobia exists and we're one of the most hated social groups worldwide. The muslim community won't change that. White people, black people and especially christians aren't much different.

I sometimes feel that its unfair to generalise Muslims and Arabs. Not all Muslims are like that.

I'm black they can't be worser than my own community toward Gays. I say let them in.

This. It's weird, at some points reading the article I was like "this guy's a racist pig" and then at other points I more than agreed with him. I wonder how it's all gonna play out. It would really offend me to see places that have spent years modernizing and becoming more accepting to revert to non-safe places for the LGBT community.

So, the climate is changing and resentment against immigration is rising. Not to mention the massive rising rape statistics of countries that accept middle Eastern refugees. They're going to come to countries that will persecute them as well, leading to a rise in resentment.

The best option is a stronger military presence in the middle East and the top to bottom rebuilding of their government system overseen by the UN, which will hopefully hault mass immigration. The world is a racist place with humans having an inward group bias, its better to be pragmatic then **** yourself over in a few years

The assumption is that all Muslims are like this because some of them are. It's equivalent to saying all Christians are exactly like the Westboro Baptists or the KKK because some of them are. Or all black people hate gays because some of them do. Or all white people want to kill black people because some of them do.

Radicalism is a problem in every community, but you can't take a radical minority's example and apply it to every single person in that community. Because you're now doing a disservice to every person in that community who is not like that and is actually fighting against that type of behavior. The same goes for Muslims. Some of you should really get to know some young modern-day Muslims before passing judgement. There's millions of them already living in the US who don't condone any of the behavior described in this article/thread, just like there's millions of Christians and blacks who don't condone gay-bashing, and millions of whites who don't condone black killing.

They're coming from theocracies, most western countries are now secular and that is reflected in society. Culturally they hold their faith much more strongly, also its stated in the Quran that homosexuality is an abomination and the Quran is said to be word for word what Allah recited to Muhammad, hence why it should oy be read in Arabic and is only considers holy in Arabic as its the holy language. Any "Muslim" that doesn't follow the Quran and its teachings and the five pillars aren't truly Muslim. Yes they're are younger generation who are influenced cultural by Islam but don't actually observe those followings are just diet Muslims, just like the west is now diet Christian. This has nothing to do with the WBC or the KKK; those are groups. The Middle-East, as an area, is very homophobic. And it's not in the minority. The majority opposes gay rights to live, let alone other rights.
