instead they promoted the hell out of it and forced it to go platinum. It might be an impressive achievement (in 2006) but its one of the reasons moaia is her biggest flop to date.

People underrate the success of "Obsessed" just because it didn't peak high. It's been incredibly consistent which is even shocking since I would expect a a song like this to burn out easily.

Obsessed was a terrible choice for a first single. It was a good buzz single, to get people interested in Mariah Carey, and should have been quickly followed up by a brand new ballad. There was no second single till September, and without a video...it's doomed. The album can be saved! Singles need to be released.

Huh? I know that she doesn't have to prove anything but I'm just saying I wasn't sure how she would go through getting this album to its 'deserved success'. It's done pretty good on the par of not much promotion though.
