The assistance that are about to be given to the Syrian Refugees is extremely generous and excessive when this could be spent helping out struggling college student all across the country.

If they ere only getting $5000 or even $10,000 fine, I have no problem with that. But $50,000... That's the average salary for a middle class person in Ontario.

I hope you see where I'm coming from.

not AT all. welfare in canada covers COMPLETE housing coasts. and depending on how many kids you have it gives a lofty amount of money for food. my mom and I were on welfare when I was a kid for like a year (my mom had a terrible year after being laid off and divorcing) and the canadian government is VERY generous. its not like the US where ppl are given 100$ and a couple food stamps.

if you are not picky with where you live you basically search for rent online, provide them a proof of renting/payment and they will match it (unless it surpasses 900$). Canada has really stepped its game in terms of welfare...or at least Ontario has I don't know how it works in other provinces tbh :S
